Rushongoka Wa-Mpiira is a conservationist with Restoration Ecology as major discipline. He is the Managing Fellow at the Open Impact Institute, an independent think-tank in Kampala working to propagate data and knowledge to create a future where people and nature can thrive in harmony. Previously, he was part of several initiatives focusing on Sustainable Food Systems. He is a master fellow of the IFOAM’s Organic Leadership Academy and periodically offers guest lectures on Sustainability & Food Systems in Africa at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences.
