Nancy Odendaal is an associate professor in city and regional planning in the School of Architecture, Planning and Geomatics at the University of Cape Town. Her research and teaching focus on the role of technology in urban change and planning and the relationship between spatial change and service delivery. Recent publications focus mainly on inclusion and diversity in smart cities. She was invited to speak at the United Nations Economic and Social Council Integration Segment and was instrumental in establishing the Association of African Planning Schools of which she is the current chairperson.
