Bio


He is the Founder & CEO at Famunera, a digital marketplace that is applying Blockchain to solve the problem of unsafe food exports by enabling food exporters to ensure digital traceability, source genuine quality farm inputs and boost export market linkages while creating reliable employment opportunities for smallholder farmers as outgrowers.

He has over 10 years’ experience as a Disruptive Agripreneur having started his Entrepreneurship journey in Secondary School Level and shaped it throughout his University Level. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration majoring in Accounting & Finance, Certificate in Agribusiness Management and he is a self-taught Computer Programmer from Udemy Online Coding School.

He leads innovation and strategy at Famunera, ensuring their alignment with both short-term and long-term objectives of the company.

Since 2016, Famunera has been able to reach over 500,000 smallholder farmers, served directly over 25,000 smallholder farmers as customers, supported 100 Agribusinesses and created over 5,000 indirect jobs in the different agriculture value-chains across Uganda.

In the next 3 years, Famunera intends to scale so as to reach 15 million smallholder farmers, serve directly 1.5 million smallholder farmers as customers, support 1,000 Agribusinesses and create 75,000 indirect jobs in the different agriculture value chains across the East African Region.

Famunera’s vision is to become the ultimate destination for global food importers to source safe and traceable food products, while improving the incomes and livelihoods of smallholder farmers across Africa.
