Country Director of the French Development Agency (AFD) in Uganda, Marc Trouyet is a career diplomat with an expertise in post-conflict diplomacy, development assistance and coalition building, with an African focus. He is a career French diplomat since 2001, previously posted in South Soudan, Paris, Bruxelles, Rome, Canberra, Toronto. Marc Trouyet has been instrumental in the elaboration and the implementation of the French international policies in the following fields: sustainable development, humanitarian assistance, local and economic governance, fragile states.
Over the course of these years, he worked closely with different stakeholders, from technical ministries to local, national and international NGOs, from local authorities to private companies, building coalitions and consensus. A town-planner by training, with an experience as a researcher, he served five years in the City Council of Paris, has been deputy head of French missions, deputy director of a department of the French MFA, Consul General of France in Toronto, Ontario and Ambassador of France to South Sudan, in Juba.
