Abdullahi Hamud Mohamed

Bio


Abdullahi Hamud Mohamed has a professional background in public administration and governance. Before joining the Somali Government as State Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister of Somalia from 2017 to 2020, he has worked in the United Kingdom in the private sector as a Corporate Executive for nearly 20 years.

Today, Abdullahi Hamud Mohamed holds the position of the Executive Director at the Management Institute National Development (MIND). MIND is a non-governmental, apex state training institute dedicated to enhancing the equity, effectiveness, and efficiency of public institutions. Abdullahi Hamud Mohamed ‘s leadership at MIND focuses on providing high-quality training, research, consultancy, performance management, field-based analysis, policy briefs, and security analysis within multilevel government structures, including federalism, devolution, and local government, all aimed at improving administrative efficiency.

Abdullahi Hamud Mohamed holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Development Economics and International Development from the School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London.
