Alliance Française in Kampala (AFK)

The Alliance Française in Kampala (AFK) is part of the worldwide network of all Alliance Françaises. In Uganda, AFK was established in 1956 as a non-profit association. In 2009, it became the linguistic operator for the French Embassy in Uganda. It hosts of about 2000 students every year and organises various cultural events.

The vocation is to promote French-speaking and Ugandan cultures and to favour exchanges between Uganda and France. Besides, it is charged by the Embassy of France to operate a part of the cultural action of the French representation.
