Dr Tobias Rüttershoff

Bio


Dr Rüttershoff is the Director of the Regional Programme Security Policy Dialogue West Africa (SIPODI West), of the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS). He previously worked for KAS in other portfolios including the Department for European and International Cooperation, Policy Adviser for Eastern Central Europe and Director of the Albania Country Office.

He became an active reservist in the German Armed Forces again in 2021. Commissioned as a reserve officer after training at the Army Officer School in Dresden whose current rank is Major (OF-3).

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Public Law from the University of Mannheim, master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Sheffield in the United Kingdom and Doctorate in Strategy and Security Studies at the University of Exeter in the UK.
