Dr Yahye Ali Ibrahim is currently the Chairman of the Management Institute for National Development (MIND) of Somalia. He Previously served in different senior positions of the Federal Government of Somalia, including Director of Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism (PCVE) Office at the Office Prime Minister, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior and Federal Affairs, Senior Reform Chief Technical Advisor to Ministry of Education, and Chair of the National Disaster Management Committee. He is a recipient of the 2016 Somali Peace Prize Award and Distinguished Civil Service Award to honour his work on peacebuilding and state building endeavours in Somalia.
He holds a BA in Business Administration, BSc in Law and Accounting, MA in International Relations, MA in Development Studies and PhD in Political Economy from SIDAM-Somalia, London South Bank University, Birkbeck College University of London, and Middlesex University UK.
