Bio


Moses Chrispus Okello is a Senior Researcher in the Horn of Africa Security Analysis Programme of the Institute for Security Studies (ISS), Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. He has various positions in the Ugandan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Refugee Law Project at Makerere University, the Intergovernmental Organization on Development (IGAD) and the United Nations. He has also consulted for various governmental and non-governmental entities across the Horn of Africa and Europe. Okello’s areas of work broadly include conflict resolution and mediation, transitional justice, political economy analysis, intersectionality, and human rights. Okello holds advanced degrees in political science and forced migration from the American University in Cairo and is extensively published.
