Moses is a Country Representative for the International Union for Conservation of Nature-IUCN in Uganda.
Moses provides strategic oversight and oversees the implementation of the IUCN programme in Uganda,
in alignment with the priorities of the Government of Uganda, development partners civil society and
other actors, particularly on water resources management, drought resilience, water diplomacy,
biodiversity conservation and climate change adaptation and mitigation and natural resource governance
Moses ‘experience in natural resource management spans over 15 years, where he has actively been
involved in the socio-economic transformation agenda for Uganda as well as sustainable management of
biodiversity, ecosystems, natural resources.
Specifically on Water diplomacy, Moses has been part of various national and regional initiatives aimed
at securing water resources within the great lakes region through supporting initiatives aimed at collective
planning, use, utilization and management of water and other critical resources within Uganda, the East
African Community (EAC), IGAD and Nile Basin regions. By extension, these initiatives have also supported
initiatives aimed at securing the high seas within the region and Africa in general.
Moses holds a BSc. Forestry from Makerere University Kampala and has undertaken various trainings in
Integrated Water Resource Management, Disaster Risk Reduction, Forest Landscape Restoration, Climate
Change Mitigation and Adaptation among others.
